Technical Account Manager

Role Overview
This position focuses on sales of semiconductor inspection and metrology equipment to laboratories across the United States. The role is responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying new business opportunities, and managing strategic customer relationships.
The position supports process engineers by introducing advanced measurement and analytical inspection methodologies used in thin film and characterization programs. Strong technical communication and presentation skills are required. English–Japanese bilingual ability is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve annual revenue, profit, and growth targets
- Identify new markets and business opportunities
- Manage and update customer activities and opportunities in a CRM system
- Meet monthly KPIs for customer meetings, quotations, and new opportunities
- Travel regularly to customer sites to support sales and relationship development
- Prospect and develop new customer accounts
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and technical presentations
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial inquiry through order completion and payment
- Coordinate with internal and external partners to support deliveries, demos, and customer requests
- Meet regularly with management to review sales performance and strategy
- Support trade show planning, execution, and follow-up
Professional Development
- Stay current on semiconductor and compound semiconductor industry trends
- Network within relevant industry organizations
- Maintain regular communication with overseas product managers to support customer needs
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in technical sales or inside sales
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Material Science, Physics, or equivalent experience
- Strong skills in sales planning, forecasting, and account management
- Experience with product demonstrations and customer presentations
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and common business software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- English–Japanese bilingual ability is a plus
Work Environment and Requirements
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds as needed
- Primarily office-based with extended periods of sitting
- Occasional evening or early-morning meetings to support international collaboration
