We are a long-established distributor of Japanese and Asian food products across North America, serving retailers, restaurants, and national chains through a growing distribution network. The Sales Representative supports this growth through route-based sales in the Miami area, focusing on customer relationships, product recommendations, delivery coordination, and identifying new business opportunities while ensuring consistent, high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit customers regularly to promote products and maintain strong relationships
- Answer questions on products, pricing, availability, and delivery
- Recommend products based on customer needs and interests
- Generate quotes, estimates, and sales orders
- Follow up after sales to resolve issues and provide ongoing support
- Identify new customers through referrals, directories, and trade events
- Coordinate product deliveries and route schedules
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and product innovations
- Prepare sales reports, budgets, and expense documentation
- Use a company vehicle for daily route sales
- Handle physical product movement (lifting up to 50 lbs)
Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional sales experience
- Business-level Spanish and English required
- Food sales experience required; Asian food experience strongly preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs daily
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle
- Must live within 45 minutes of the Miami-area location or be willing to relocate
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel); internal system experience a plus
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently
