Sales and Logistics Operations Coordinator

A Japanese trading company seeks a Sales & Logistics Operations Coordinator (Chemicals & Raw Materials).

Location: Montvale, NJ ONSITE

Salary: Base Salary $55,000 plus bonus

Other: Travel will be required as needed, approximately 1–3 times per quarter. Needs a valid driver's license. Starts from an Assistant, and then becomes a Sales & Operations Coordinator.

 

General Summary

Support sales and operational activities in chemical and raw material trading. Responsible for developing customers, managing supplier relationships with overseas suppliers (mainly in Japan), coordinating shipments, and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Essential Job Functions

1. Sales and Client Relationship Management

Conduct sales for chemical and raw material products; identify and develop new customers; manage existing accounts.

2. Relationship Building & Client Engagement 

Build strong, trust-based relationships; attend meetings and events to maintain customer satisfaction.

3. Proposal, Negotiation & Contracting

Prepare quotations and proposals; negotiate pricing and terms; coordinate deliveries and contracts.

4. Sales Tracking & Reporting 

Record and monitor sales activities; support customers with samples and product info; report market trends

5. Marketing & External Communication  

Attend trade shows and business events; travel domestically and internationally as needed.

6. Logistics and Documentation Management                                                                            

Coordinate with logistics and accounting teams on shipping, payments, and documentation; ensure on-time delivery and proper record management.

7. Customer Service and Support                                                                                                   

 Provide accurate order and delivery information; resolve issues; respond promptly to clients and suppliers.

 

Experience/Minimum Qualifications Needed

1. Language Skills

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, with corporate clients and internal teams.

2. Mathematical Skills

Ability to accurately handle numerical data and basic calculations, and to understand the content of graphs and charts.

3. Reasoning and Analytical Skills

Ability to interpret contracts and proposals accurately, think flexibly according to the situation, and resolve issues effectively.

4. Computer Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to create and analyze reports as needed.

5. Other Skills

Must be tactful, mature, and flexible, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and work pressures successfully.
