Salary: $95,000–$105,000
Travel: 10–49% (including supplier visits ~20–25%)

Position Overview
This QA/QC Engineer role supports fabrication-shop quality for microelectronics capital projects. You’ll own day-to-day inspection and documentation control, helping ensure products are built right the first time—minimizing rework, delays, and quality escapes. You’ll partner closely with project teams, suppliers, and contractors to keep builds aligned with code, specs, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily quality control activities for microelectronics-related fabrication builds
- Support creation and rollout of QC plans, processes, and procedures for engineers, subcontractors, and shop teams
- Help develop inspection and test plans that align with project quality requirements
- Monitor and control inspections/tests throughout the build cycle; manage inspection scheduling
- Issue and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in a timely manner
- Drive corrective and preventive actions to closure
- Review build documentation for accuracy and completeness before fabrication begins
- Verify final products meet client and project requirements
- Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors
- Travel to suppliers for QC inspections as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of QC experience with welding and steel products (oil & gas, aerospace, water-treatment equipment, or similar)
- Experience supporting high-purity products for semiconductor or microelectronics environments
- Strong working knowledge of applicable codes/standards (ASME—B31.1 & B31.3 required, AWS D1.1, ASTM)
- Ability to interpret drawings, dimensions, and tolerances
- Ability to review welding documentation (WPS, PQR, WQTR)
- Comfortable using common inspection tools and measuring equipment
- Strong documentation habits with accurate, timely reporting
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and PDF tools (Adobe Acrobat)
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Bluebeam experience
- Six Sigma Green Belt
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
