Salary: $93,000–$118,000 base

Bonus: 5% annual incentive

Position Overview

This role sits at the intersection of hands-on engineering and team leadership. You’ll serve as a technical authority for an automated people mover system, guiding troubleshooting efforts, improving system reliability, and supporting daily maintenance operations. The position also includes supervisory responsibility, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys mentoring teams while staying close to the equipment.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide technical oversight for automated transportation systems, ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance is completed on schedule
  • Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical issues, identify root causes, and develop repair plans
  • Perform failure analysis, identify trends, and implement improvements to reduce recurring issues
  • Coordinate with engineering teams on documentation or drawing updates
  • Train and evaluate technicians and subcontractors to ensure safe, compliant work practices
  • Schedule and supervise technicians (typically 15–20 staff), monitoring work quality and safety
  • Prepare maintenance, availability, and performance reports
  • Support shift leadership and step in as backup supervisor or manager when needed

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • 3–5 years of experience in an electromechanical environment
  • Experience working from complex drawings and using precision measuring instruments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain airport security clearance
  • Ability to pass background check, drug/alcohol screening, physical exam, and color vision test
  • Fluent English communication skills

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and field-based work in an active mechanical environment
  • Regular exposure to moving equipment and electrical systems
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs with assistance
  • Frequent standing, walking, climbing, and use of hand tools
