Overview

A growing consumer goods company in the U.S. is seeking a highly motivated Sales Associate to support its Club Channel business. This role serves as the operational backbone of the sales team, ensuring accurate forecasting, flawless execution of sales programs, disciplined data management, and strong cross-functional coordination to drive profitable growth.

This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Operations & Program Execution

  • Manage and track promotional activities (incremental and accrual) across regions, business centers, and eCommerce
  • Track promotional calendars and timelines including TPDs, endcaps, demos, roadshows, and resets
  • Lead completion of Buy Docs, vendor forms, and item setup documents, ensuring accuracy of costs, terms, allowances, and case configurations
  • Support item transitions, pack changes, artwork updates, and SKU lifecycle management
  • Ensure all promotional and item-setup workflows meet deadlines with no approval gaps

Forecasting & Data Management

  • Pull, validate, and analyze weekly POS data (Circana/IRI, CRX)
  • Maintain forecasting tools and trackers; proactively flag inconsistencies or incorrect forecasts
  • Maintain master trackers for distribution, promotions, resets, inventory, freight, and historical sales
  • Ensure clean, consistent reporting to support internal and external decision-making

Broker & Customer Support

  • Maintain weekly broker update trackers and ensure timely follow-ups
  • Support preparation of buyer presentations, recap decks, and meeting materials
  • Organize files for buyer meetings including agendas, notes, and action items
  • Support Sales Manager during customer meetings by capturing notes and executing follow-ups

Competitive & Market Analysis

  • Conduct comp-shop visits to collect pricing, price-per-oz data, and display photos
  • Analyze competitive pricing and merchandising execution by club and region
  • Consolidate insights into actionable summaries for sales and marketing teams

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, QA, and Analytics teams
  • Track approval progress across departments to ensure on-time execution
  • Coordinate food safety audits, code of conduct applications, and factory documentation

Samples, Displays & Roadshows

  • Prepare and ship samples for buyers, brokers, demos, and roadshows
  • Coordinate physical displays for roadshows, demos, and internal sales events
  • Attend and support Costco roadshows as scheduled

Administrative & Financial Support

  • Compile and submit accurate expense reports in compliance with company policy
  • Support internal audits, cost updates, and ad-hoc reporting requests

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1–2 years of experience supporting national or key accounts; Club or Mass retail experience preferred
  • Experience with forecasting, promotional execution, and broker coordination strongly preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through and deadline discipline
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior exposure to logistics, supply chain, or trade promotion management is a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%
