Promotions Coordinator / Marketing Coordinator (Honolulu, HI)

Overview

We are seeking a bilingual Japanese-English Promotions Coordinator / Marketing Coordinator to support marketing campaigns and promotional activities for cardholders in Hawaii. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys planning and coordinating promotions, working with external partners, and analyzing market trends, while contributing to high-quality customer experiences.

 

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Promotional Campaigns

  • Plan, negotiate, and coordinate marketing campaigns, promotions, and advertisements
  • Support promotional campaigns with merchant partners and internal teams
  • Maintain promotional and advertising tools such as website content and mobile application products
  • Create flyers and promotional display materials for customer-facing locations and merchant use

Market Research & Reporting

  • Research and analyze market trends in Hawaii
  • Collect and report key figures and market information (e.g., Japanese visitor trends, merchant sales and transaction data)
  • Coordinate and prepare monthly marketing activity reports

Partner & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as a point of contact and help maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as travel agencies, publishers, and major merchants
  • Act as a mediator when handling concerns or complaints between merchants and customers
  • Coordinate work-related activities and support smooth communication across teams

Additional Duties

  • Support information security and compliance-related tasks as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Fluent in both spoken and written Japanese and English
  • Basic knowledge of the travel industry preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Hawaii and the Hawaiian Islands is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of the credit card industry is preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

 

Work Environment / Additional Information

  • Office-based role in Honolulu
  • Some local travel may be required (occasionally on personal time)
