As an Interpreter, you will play a key role in facilitating clear and accurate communication between Japanese and English speaking stakeholders in technical and on-site environments.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret spoken communication between Japanese and English during meetings, conferences, construction sites, and machinery installation activities
Translate and proofread written materials, ensuring accuracy, context, and intent are preserved
Convey technical questions, requests, and dialogue clearly and appropriately
Work closely with subject matter experts to understand specialized terminology
Support both written and oral communication as needed
Submit translations for review when required
Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with company policies
Stay up to date with language usage and terminology in both languages
Qualifications
Proven experience as an interpreter, preferably in machinery manufacturing or installation environments
Fluency in Japanese and English
Strong proofreading and editing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Understanding of cultural nuances in both languages
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
