IT Infrastructure Manager Vice President or Director

The IT company, in partnership with a Japanese bank, seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager, vice president, or Director for its upstate NY or NJ office.

Office: White Plains, NY or Jersey City, NJ

Work Style: Hybrid, 1 day a week at office (Negotiable)

Salary: $100K – 150K for VP level (DOE)

Role Description

As a member of the local team, you will achieve results in projects and other activities while also understanding the situation of the entire team, including projects other than your assigned project, and will fulfill the following role objectives.

Can be assigned to one or few of the IT infrastructure areas depending on the skills and experiences, such as: 

• Networks (WAN/LAN, network-level information security, etc.) 
•  Server hardware, OS (Windows Server, Linux, etc.), middleware (VM, DBMS,etc.), storage 
• Client technologies (OS, Middleware, virtual desktop, VPN, printers, etc.) 
•  E-Communication – email, Microsoft Teams, conference and telephone systems, Notes, etc. 
• Cloud (Microsoft Azure) architecture and overall management

Role Objectives

1.

•  Liaises with Tokyo Head Office and other regions (Europe and Middle East, Asia, Oceania etc.) – grasps, reports, and responds to enquiries about the situation of IT infrastructure management and projects in mainly North/South America region. 
• Acts as a contact center for outside US. Handles situations where translation to Japanese is required, such as budgeting, promoting global and/or large-scale projects and trouble follow-up.

 Participates in Americas' IT infrastructure related strategic plannings from a global governance perspective. Contributes to ensuring quality levels. 

3.

 Plans and promotes joint projects and/or solutions to common issues with Japan and other regions.

Qualifications and Skills

■In addition to promoting projects in each team, a certain level of experience and knowledge about the entire or part of the area is necessary

 to win the trust of the team and accurately grasp the situation in the entire area. 

■Bilingual and communication skills to a level that can bridge the gap between the US and Japanese sides without causing misunderstandings

 about each other's thoughts. 

■Highly ambitious and proactively able to acquire new knowledge 

■Able to work as part of an organization or team 

■(Preferred) Ability to plan and drive new projects
