Title: CMF Designer / Project Coordinator – Entry level –
Industry: Automotive
Wage: $24/hr~$38.46/hr (Non-Exempt)
Hours: 9AM-6PM
Location: Irvine , CA
Responsibilities:
• Research and develop interior colors and materials appropriate for North American vehicle production projects.
• Develop and propose interior colors, fabric and synthetic leather seat covering, and surface treatment, as working and communicating closely with customers.
• Create a visual presentation for each project, incorporate innovative design trends in new product development, carry out program development from concept phase to production with team members and partners in the US, Mexico and Japan.
• Research new CMF trends in the automobile industry, changes in the market, new products and competitors, forecast future direction, and report to management.
• Perform color tuning and material mastering to ensure consistency of colors and materials prior to production.
• Prepare and give clear color and design direction to internal members and partners.
• To maintain good relationships with new and existing customers, visit them regularly to understand their current and future needs and new opportunities.
• Respond quickly and effectively to customer and internal inquiries to keep projects running smoothly.
• Coordinate product development with internal engineers and designers.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from a fine arts or art/design university, or graduation from an art/design vocational school, or equivalent professional experience
• Must be able to travel (US, Mexico, Japan), 25%
• Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to clients' needs.
• Good communication, business sense, and collaborative skills.
• Japanese speaking ability preferable.
• Computer skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Office)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Submission of a portfolio or work samples.
