The position is responsible for all accounting and finance management issues for the company's business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial books and records, performing monthly/quarterly closing, performing monthly GL account and process reconciliations, assisting with customer billing and customer payment applications in the loan/lease accounting system, and overall review of loan and lease transactions.

The role also entails taking part in internal/external audits and maintaining compliance with company rules and regulations.   

To be considered for the position, the candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, and at least 3 years of accounting experience in the financial industry is preferred. 

Proficiency in Excel at an advanced level is a must, and having Japanese language skills would be an added advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related major or equivalent, MA/MS/MBA preferred
  • Working experience in financial services is required.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) required
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills are required
  • Highly detail-oriented with an aptitude and desire to learn new products, conduct research, and display critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
