Production Control Specialist

Location: Pendergrass, Georgia

Compensation: $60,000–$70,000/year

Hours: Full-time

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site, Exempt

Position Summary

The Production Control Specialist helps ensure smooth daily manufacturing operations by coordinating production schedules, materials, inventory, and customer requirements. This role requires strong organization, data management, and cross-functional communication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop short-term production plans based on customer demand and shipping schedules.
  • Coordinate schedules based on equipment, materials, manpower, and production capacity.
  • Maintain appropriate raw material and finished goods inventory.
  • Manage cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies and root causes.
  • Coordinate material replenishment from domestic and international suppliers.
  • Support physical inventory, variance analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain part numbers and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Logistics, customers, and suppliers.
  • Support Just-in-Time (JIT) production and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience with inventory management or MRP systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural, team-oriented environment.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1+ years of production control, production planning, inventory control, or related manufacturing experience; level may vary based on experience.
  • Knowledge of JIT, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement practices.
