Wage: $24.50/hour

Work Hours: 9:00-17:00 (Lunch12:00-13:00)

Work Style: Office 3-5 days at office, 0-2 days WFH

Location: New York, NY

Language: English and Japanese fluency

Ability to travel locally within the New York metropolitan area as needed.

Job Duties

  • Support projects and programs led by the Public Affairs Department’s SME Overseas Business Development Support Group, including digital marketing-related initiatives.
  • Assist with the preparation and operation of trade shows, business matching events, webinars, and other events for Japanese companies held several times per year.
  • Coordinate communications with e-commerce platform operators, buyers, industry experts, Japanese companies, and relevant internal departments.
  • Assist with meeting preparation, coordination, and preparation of presentation materials and other documents.
  • Conduct research and gather information using online resources and databases.
  • Assist with preparing brief reports and sharing relevant information.
  • Provide general administrative and accounting support, as well as other duties assigned by the team.

Qualifications

  • Strong Japanese-language skills, including business writing and professional communication.
  • Ability to read and understand English and handle business communication in English via email and phone.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interact professionally and carefully with internal teams and external clients.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including tools such as Copilot, OneNote, Planner, and Lists.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, including basic calculations, chart creation, and preparation of presentation materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when handling internal procedures, reports, and administrative tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to handle a broad range of general administrative responsibilities.
