PMO Consultant – Capital Markets System Projects

Position Summary
A leading financial institution is seeking a PMO Consultant to support a large-scale system implementation and transformation program.
This role will work closely with project managers, business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to support project planning, schedule management, issue and risk tracking, stakeholder coordination, executive reporting, and project governance.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting complex IT or system implementation projects in a PMO, project management, or consulting environment.
Responsibilities
- Support project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking across multiple workstreams.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and action items.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, RAID logs, dashboards, and meeting materials.
- Facilitate project meetings and document decisions, action items, and follow-up activities.
- Coordinate communication among business teams, technology teams, vendors, and project leadership.
- Support executive reporting and Steering Committee materials.
- Monitor project deliverables and support escalation of project risks and issues as needed.
- Support project activities across planning, implementation, testing, and deployment phases.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 3+ years of experience in Project Management, PMO, System Integration, or IT Consulting.
- Experience working as a consultant, IT vendor, or within a financial institution.
- Hands-on experience with project planning, schedule management, risk and issue management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to clearly document project status, decisions, issues, and action items.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient Japanese language skills are required.
