Production Engineering Assistant
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Production Engineering Assistant to support daily manufacturing operations while developing skills in production engineering. This role is approximately 70% production operations and 30% engineering support and offers an opportunity to grow into a Production Engineer position.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, set up, and adjust manufacturing equipment.
Perform inspections and basic quality checks.
Record production data and support material handling.
Assist with troubleshooting production and equipment issues.
Assist with CAD drawings and revisions.
Support quotation preparation and production documentation.
Collect and analyze production data for process improvements.
Participate in continuous improvement and new product introduction activities.
Support quality investigations and customer technical requests.
Assist with process trials and manufacturing improvement projects.
Qualifications
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
Mechanical aptitude and interest in manufacturing.
Basic Microsoft Office skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Must be able to go to China for training (for 3 weeks to a few months)
Must have business and above level of Chinese language skill and business and above level of English language skill
Preferred:
Associate Degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, CAD, Industrial Technology, or related field.
2+ years of manufacturing or production experience.
CAD experience such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, BOMs, quotations, or production documentation.
