We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Analyst to support the financial management and strategic planning of our North American operations, including group companies and U.S. holding entities.

This role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial data, assisting with consolidated reporting, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, tax, and compliance activities.

The position is based in Foster City, California, and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

North American Group Companies

  • Review and verify financial reports submitted by North American group companies.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements, business plans, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Analyze consolidated financial data to support the development of financial and tax strategies for North American operations.
  • Facilitate communication between global headquarters and group company finance teams regarding financial, accounting, and tax matters.
  • Coordinate with group companies and financial institutions to maintain parent company guarantees related to bonds, construction contracts, lines of credit, and letters of credit.
  • Collect and compile information from group companies for J-SOX compliance and support follow-up communication with global headquarters.
  • Prepare and organize supporting financial information for tax filings in coordination with the Accounting Department and external tax consultants.

U.S. Holding Companies

  • Prepare periodic financial reports.
  • Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
  • Manage and monitor daily and monthly cash activities.
  • Perform other related responsibilities and duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, taxation, and financial analysis.
  • Experience working for a publicly traded international company is preferred.
  • CPA or active CPA candidacy is preferred.
  • Construction industry experience is not required; however, relevant industry experience or a strong interest in the construction sector is a plus.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks or other ERP and accounting systems.

WORK AUTHORIZATION

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

ANTICIPATED SALARY RANGE

$95,000–$105,000 per year

In accordance with California law, the company is committed to providing clear and transparent compensation information. The final salary will be determined based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and relevant market conditions. The stated range reflects the compensation reasonably expected for this position in California.
