Position Summary

A global company specializing in ultrapure water (UPW) systems and advanced water treatment solutions is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities for industrial water treatment system projects.

The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for supplier sourcing, RFQs, quotation evaluation, price and commercial term negotiations, purchase order processing, delivery coordination, inventory management, and contract support.

This position works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal project teams to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time and meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate suppliers for equipment, materials, and services
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs)
  • Review quotations based on pricing, delivery schedules, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers
  • Create and process purchase orders and monitor orders through delivery
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal project teams
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and vendor information
  • Coordinate receipt, shipment, and inventory of materials and equipment
  • Review and coordinate contracts, including NDAs, purchase agreements, and other commercial agreements
  • Support multiple procurement activities and projects simultaneously

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or project coordination
  • Experience purchasing industrial equipment or engineered products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read technical specifications and engineering documents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with overseas offices or cross-border business operations
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, import/export procedures, and logistics coordination
  • Knowledge of ASME standards, certifications, or industry codes related to process equipment, such as pressure vessels, tanks, piping systems, or water treatment equipment
  • Experience supporting engineering or construction projects
