Travel: Approximately once per month, including occasional weekends
Position Overview
A growing food products company is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to develop and support U.S.-based customer accounts.
This position focuses on outside sales, customer visits, product demonstrations, and business development with restaurants, supermarkets, distributors, and other foodservice accounts. Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in food, cooking, and sales are welcome to apply.
The successful candidate will receive hands-on training and work closely with an experienced senior sales professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit existing and prospective customers to build relationships and increase sales.
- Develop new business through in-person visits, outreach, and account research.
- Plan and conduct cooking demonstrations and product sampling events.
- Prepare ingredients, transport products and equipment, cook, present products, and engage customers.
- Support customer promotions, menu ideas, product launches, and in-store events.
- Recommend products based on customer needs and convert interest into sales opportunities.
- Attend trade shows, customer events, and promotional activities.
- Coordinate customer orders and follow up on delivery, inventory, and service issues.
- Maintain accurate sales activity and customer records in the CRM system.
- Gather market and customer feedback and share insights with internal teams.
Qualifications
- Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply.
- 1–2 years of experience in food sales, foodservice, grocery, retail, hospitality, or CPG is preferred.
- Food-related part-time or customer service experience may also be considered.
- Strong English communication and presentation skills.
- Genuine interest in food, cooking, recipes, and Japanese food products.
- Comfortable cooking and presenting food in front of customers.
- Confident approaching new customers and developing business relationships.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and domestically.
- Availability for occasional weekend work and travel.
- Ability to lift and transport products and event supplies weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
Work Schedule
Tuesday is typically an office day from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Other workdays are primarily field-based, with schedules arranged according to customer visits, demonstrations, and travel needs. Compensatory time is provided when weekend work is required.
