Department: Supply Chain Management
To deliver quality products to our customers on time, this position is responsible for managing inventory, shipments, and orders. This position also provides customer service to company affiliates and occasional administrative assistance to other team members.
Responsibilities
Shipping and Delivery Operations — 30%
- Ensure timely and efficient shipping and delivery operations.
- Detect potential delivery risks and escalate them promptly.
- Propose solutions and consult internally to resolve delivery issues.
Inventory Management — 40%
- Enter forecast and order data into the system.
- Create WIA reports to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Verify data, including WIA, to identify delivery risks and implement long-term corrective actions.
- Prepare inventory forecasts to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Data Creation and Analysis — 30%
- Obtain necessary information from customers and vendors.
- Create delivery-related data, including WIA and forecast reports.
- Enter information accurately into ERP and customer systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in sales, account management, or supply chain management within the automotive industry is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to drive and travel by air to visit customers and vendors occasionally.
- Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, and internet-based systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- On-the-job training will be provided.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and analyze information in hard copy and on a computer screen.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with individuals and groups.
- Ability to communicate by telephone.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Travel Requirements
Occasional same-day or overnight travel by car or plane is required. Travel may involve early-morning departures or late-evening arrivals.
