Location: New York, Hybrid (Client site + Remote)

Salary: $70-90K

Employment Type: Full-time

• English fluency required; Japanese is a plus but not required

Key Responsibilities

This position is responsible for application development and operational support for a Japanese bank in the U.S. The IT Specialist will develop, maintain, and support business applications and related databases to meet business and operational requirements.

• Develop, maintain, and support business applications and related databases.
• Support application testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Coordinate application change management and deployment activities.
• Communicate and collaborate with business users, IT teams, project teams, and external vendors.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, automation initiatives, project delivery, and operational excellence.

The Right Candidate Will Possess

• Minimum of 3 years of application development experience.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with one or more of the following technologies:
  • Angular and/or React
  • ASP.NET
  • C#
  • VB.NET
  • Visual Studio
  • PowerShell
  • Salesforce
  • RPA
• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with application testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
• Ability to coordinate application change management and deployment activities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with business users, project teams, and external vendors.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing system applications in the banking industry.
• English proficiency required.
• Knowledge of financial instruments, wholesale banking, lending, or market risk management preferred.
• Experience with SWIFT messaging and payment systems preferred.
• Experience with SharePoint administration preferred.
• Experience with UiPath Studio (RPA) development preferred.
• Understanding of application security and change management best practices preferred.
