Medical Office Assistant / Receptionist

Location: On-site

Position Status: Temp approx. 3month

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience

Work Hour:11:00am to 19:00pm (M-Thu) and few hours on Friday

Schedule Requirement: Monday availability is required

Position Overview

A growing physical therapy and wellness clinic is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Office Assistant / Physical Therapy Aide to join its team.

This position combines front-office administrative responsibilities with hands-on support for patients during physical therapy sessions. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive, comfortable multitasking, and committed to providing friendly and professional service.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office and Administrative Support

  • Welcome patients and assist them with required forms and office information
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls
  • Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments
  • Respond to emails and handle incoming and outgoing mail
  • Receive and send faxes
  • Verify insurance coverage and patient benefits
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
  • Enter or transcribe information from patient paperwork
  • Support general office organization and administrative tasks

Physical Therapy Support

  • Prepare and clean treatment areas and patient tables
  • Assist patients with exercises under the direction of the physical therapist
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming clinic environment
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the clinical team

  • Comfortable interacting with patients of different ages and backgrounds
  • Team-oriented and willing to assist where needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a medical office, physical therapy clinic, or healthcare setting
  • Experience with insurance verification or medical billing
  • Experience scheduling patients or managing medical records
  • Interest in physical therapy, rehabilitation, wellness, or patient care

Work Schedule

Full-time and part-time schedules may be considered. However, availability on Mondays is required.
