We are seeking a Japanese-English Bilingual Tool & Die Engineer to support high-precision stamping operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining and improving press tools and dies, troubleshooting production issues, supporting press operations, and working closely with engineers to ensure stable, high-quality production.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of precision press tools and dies.
Set up, adjust, and support the operation of press machines to ensure efficient production.
Review and modify die drawings using CAD to improve tool performance and durability.
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce downtime.
Collaborate with engineers to learn equipment and manufacturing processes.
Document procedures and provide technical guidance and training to local team members.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in tool & die manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering.
Extensive experience with precision stamping/press dies is required.
Experience with Deep Drawing and Sheet Metal Forging is highly preferred.
Ability to read, interpret, and modify technical drawings and CAD files.
Hands-on experience setting up and operating press machines.
Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese.
Willingness and physical ability to work a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (12-hour day/night shifts).
