Position Overview

Our client, a Japanese logistics company is seeking an Air Coordinator to support its air freight operations. This role is responsible for coordinating air import and export shipments, preparing shipping documentation, communicating with customers and carriers, and ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage air import and export shipments from start to finish.
  • Prepare and process shipping documents, including airway bills, invoices, and customs-related paperwork.
  • Open and maintain shipment files using the company's freight management system.
  • Coordinate with airlines, overseas agents, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely shipment movement.
  • Track shipments and provide customers with shipment status updates.
  • Ensure compliance with TSA regulations and company procedures.
  • Resolve shipment issues and proactively communicate solutions to customers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate shipment records.
  • Support cost control initiatives and continuous process improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient daily operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of air export operations experience preferred.
  • Freight forwarding industry experience highly preferred.
  • Air import experience is a plus.
  • Experience with GoFreight software is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
