A well-established and growing organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and strengthen its people operations across multiple U.S. locations.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary HR business partner for employees and managers across the organization
  • Advise leadership on complex employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, ADA, FMLA, leaves of absence, harassment prevention, and employment law compliance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations, with a strong emphasis on California employment law
  • Lead employee investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions while minimizing organizational risk
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding for professional and exempt-level positions
  • Maintain and enhance HR policies, employee handbook, and HR procedures
  • Design and improve performance management programs that support company growth
  • Administer employee benefits, including open enrollment, compliance, audits, and vendor management
  • Partner with Payroll and Administration to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Manage HRIS data and reporting (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
  • Prepare HR metrics, workforce analytics, and executive reports to support strategic decision-making
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, training, and company events
  • Support organizational development projects and continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Strong background in employee relations and employment law compliance
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving sensitive employee issues
  • Experience recruiting exempt and professional-level employees
  • Working knowledge of California employment law
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Self-motivated professional who can work independently while partnering effectively with leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multi-state HR experience
  • Experience developing HR policies, job descriptions, and training programs
  • HR metrics and workforce analytics experience
  • Continuous education in employment law or HR compliance
