Temporary Position – Middle Office Clerk

Location: Hybrid (New York City office required a minimum of 3 days per week)

Work hours: M-F 5 days a week, 4-7 hours between 9am-5pm

Hourly Rate: $37–45/hour

Employment type: Temp, 6-12 months, with potential for extension based on business needs.

Position Overview

A Japanese company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Middle Office Clerk to support daily reconciliation and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily reconciliation tasks to verify and reconcile data between internal systems and external sources.
  • Review email correspondence, broker statements, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify, investigate, and report discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain data integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Follow established procedures and compliance guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Basic understanding of financial products or operations is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a plus.
  • Japanese language skills are highly preferred.
  • Prior financial industry experience is welcome but not required.
