Position: National Account Manager – Pet Products
Location: Surprise, AZ Preferred (Remote Considered)
Salary: $90,000~110,000 (DOE)
About the Company
Our client is a well-established consumer products manufacturer with a strong presence in North America. The company develops and markets a diverse portfolio of products, including pet products, home organization solutions, household goods, and lifestyle products sold through major retail and distribution channels.
As part of its continued growth strategy, the company is seeking a National Account Manager to support the expansion of its Pet Products business.
Position Summary
The National Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth through new business development and strategic account management within the pet products industry. This position will focus on identifying new opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and developing channel-specific growth strategies.
The ideal candidate is a proactive sales professional with strong connections across retail, distributor, and pet specialty channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the Pet Products business
- Identify and secure new retail, distributor, and strategic partner opportunities
- Manage and expand relationships with national accounts
- Present new product programs and promotional opportunities to customers
- Analyze sales performance, POS data, and market trends
- Monitor competitor activities and industry developments
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, product development, supply chain, and operations
- Manage pricing, product listings, digital content, and account maintenance activities
- Conduct sales forecasting and business planning
- Support promotional planning and post-promotion performance analysis
- Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field
- 3+ years of sales, business development, or account management experience
- Experience selling consumer products through retail and/or distribution channels
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategic recommendations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM systems
- Native or business-level English proficiency
Preferred
- Experience in the pet products, pet supplies, or pet industry
- Existing relationships with major retailers, distributors, or pet specialty accounts
- Experience working with accounts such as PetSmart, Petco, Chewy, Tractor Supply, or similar channels
- Experience managing national retail accounts
- Ability to travel as needed
