Position: National Account Manager – Asian Foodservice

Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA (Hybrid – Onsite a Few Times per Month)

Position Summary

Our client, a growing food company is seeking a National Account Manager to drive sales growth within the Asian foodservice market. This role will focus on developing and managing relationships with national restaurant chains, foodservice distributors, and independent operators, particularly within the sushi and Asian cuisine sectors.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in foodservice sales, existing relationships with Japanese foodservice distributors, and a passion for building long-term customer partnerships while expanding market share.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management

  • Manage and grow key national foodservice accounts
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and market penetration
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, restaurant chains, and foodservice operators
  • Achieve sales forecasts, revenue goals, and account performance targets

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Asian foodservice market
  • Analyze trade spending and ROI to maximize profitability
  • Negotiate pricing and business terms with customers
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams to support customer needs and business growth
  • Provide market feedback and customer insights to support product and sales strategies

Qualifications

Required

  • 3–5 years of foodservice sales experience (seafood industry experience preferred)
  • Proven success managing key accounts and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

Preferred

  • Business-level Japanese or Chinese language skills (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Existing relationships with Japanese foodservice distributors
  • Experience serving sushi restaurants or Asian foodservice customers
