Japanese food brand company NY branch in Long Island seeking a Northeast Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth across Foodservice, Retail, and Industrial channels throughout the Northeast region. This role is responsible for developing relationships with food distributors, brokers, restaurant chains, manufacturers, and retail accounts to expand market penetration and increase product sales. Covering territory: Mid-Atlantic /Phli/Metro/ Upstate NY
The ideal candidate will have experience in food and beverage sales, distributor management, and broker network development. This position requires frequent travel within the assigned territory and close collaboration with internal marketing and sales teams.
Exempt position
On site, up to 40% business travels
$80K-130K plus profit share
General Accountabilities
Discuss sales targets and objectives with Supervisor for assigned territory
Remain informed of company directives and ensure compliance
Regularly call on brokers, distributors, customers, and clients to develop relationships and increase sales
Develop new accounts while maintaining and expanding existing business
Identify and pursue new opportunities for product sales
Educate broker personnel regarding products and company policies
Coordinate programs and promotions with brokers
Attend industry trade shows related to retail, food service, and industrial markets
Foster initiative and enthusiasm within the broker community
Monitor credit and collections for major customers
Process and coordinate operational paperwork related to branch activities
Entertain customers and support relationship-building efforts as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
3–5 years of related sales experience in Retail, Food Service, Industrial, Consumer Products, Food & Beverage, or a related industry
Experience working with brokers, distributors, and customer accounts preferred
Proven track record of achieving sales goals with regional and national accounts
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong computer proficiency
Clean driving record
Ability to travel extensively by car and/or plane
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and set up trade show materials/equipment
Ability to work on-site (non-remote position)
Overnight travel required (approximately 25–40%)
