Salary: $71,000 – $83,000 + Benefits
Work Hour: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview
A growing company in the Japanese food and beverage industry is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Account Executive to support sales growth and brand development for Japanese liquor products, including sake, shochu, wine, whiskey, beer, and spirits.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in beverage sales, hospitality, or Japanese food industries who enjoys building client relationships, organizing events, and promoting Japanese culture and products in the U.S. market.
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers
- Promote Japanese liquor products including sake, shochu, wine, whiskey, beer, and spirits
- Support sales teams in achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Assist with new account development and market expansion strategies
- Conduct market and competitor analysis and prepare sales reports
- Educate clients on products and provide recommendations tailored to their business needs
- Travel domestically and internationally for customer visits, events, and business development activities
Marketing & Event Coordination
- Plan, coordinate, and attend sake tastings, promotional events, trade shows, and educational seminars
- Support Japanese government promotional events and industry-related functions
- Coordinate tasting events with vendors and business partners
- Create and manage social media content to strengthen brand engagement
- Participate in weekly sales meetings and company events
Operational Support
- Assist with Sake School classes, events, and tasting competitions
- Support inventory counts and event logistics as needed
- Collaborate with management and sales teams on sales strategies and customer support initiatives
- Perform additional duties assigned by management
Qualifications
Required
- Business-level English communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally
- Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
- Business-level Japanese or Chinese language ability
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 4+ years of sales experience in Japanese liquor, wine, spirits, food distribution, or restaurant industries
- Knowledge of sake, shochu, whiskey, wine, beer, and Japanese beverage culture
- Sake Sommelier, Sake Advisor, or other industry certifications
- Experience using ERP systems such as AS400 or Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Experience with social media marketing and event coordination
