Our client, a food manufacturing company is seeking a bilingual QA/QC Assistant to support quality assurance operations and act as a liaison with the Japan office. This position is ideal for candidates with experience or exposure to manufacturing and production environments, particularly within food processing facilities. The role involves quality documentation management, communication with laboratories and suppliers, regulatory support, and coordination with the Japan HQ regarding QA/QC matters.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Regulatory Support
- Communicate QA/QC-related matters with the Japan office
- Support food regulatory compliance initiatives and audit preparation
- Coordinate product and raw ingredient testing with third-party laboratories
- Prepare laboratory submission forms and maintain testing records
- Maintain certificates of analysis (COA), product specifications, quality statements, and policies
- Support client questionnaires and quality documentation requests
- Coordinate with co-manufacturers regarding quality procedures and sampling
- Assist with label registration and certification maintenance
- Maintain supplier quality documentation and certifications
- Conduct and document internal quality training
Administrative & Coordination Duties
- Process QA-related invoices and documentation
- Organize and maintain quality records and files
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, laboratories, and internal teams
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Expert or high business-level Japanese required (reading/writing/speaking)
- Business-level English required
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year of QA/QC experience preferred
- Manufacturing or food processing industry experience/exposure highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office software
- Valid California driver’s license required
