Position: Manga & Japanese Pop Culture Retail Associate (Full-Time)

Pay: $19/hour (Approx. $41,000/year)

Job Summary
Join a retail store specializing in Japanese manga, books, and pop culture products. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys manga, anime, and Japanese culture, and wants to create a welcoming and engaging experience for customers who share similar interests. You will support daily store operations while helping customers discover new titles and products.
Responsibilities
Assist customers in-store and over the phone, including recommending manga and related products
Operate cash register and process transactions accurately
Stock, organize, and display manga, books, and merchandise
Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking and ordering
Handle returns, exchanges, and customer inquiries
Support store opening and closing procedures
Assist in training and supporting part-time staff
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment
Requirements
Basic communication skills in English
Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable attitude
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills
Reliable, team-oriented, and proactive
Preferred
Retail or customer service experience
Interest in manga, anime, or Japanese pop culture
Japanese or Chinese language skills are a plus
