Position: H.R./G.A. Senior Generalist

This position is responsible for supporting a wide range of HR and general administration functions, including performance evaluation, payroll operations, recruiting, training programs, and compliance.
The role requires strong analytical and Excel skills, as well as bilingual communication ability to collaborate with both English- and Japanese-speaking stakeholders. The individual will also contribute to process improvements, system operations, and special projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Performance Evaluation & HR Systems
- Create, maintain, and improve evaluation data files using Excel (including macros)
- Aggregate and analyze evaluation results and reporting data
- Support overall performance evaluation system operations
- Conduct evaluator and new hire training sessions
- Assist in developing training plans and promotion-related data management
Payroll & Compensation
- Conduct market research on compensation and pay scales
- Support salary increase and bonus planning processes
- Improve payroll-related data files with automated calculations (Excel macros)
- Maintain and update status change forms (pay adjustments)
- Assist with payroll processing, including 401(k) contributions
Recruitment & Employee Lifecycle
- Support hiring managers with recruiting and onboarding processes
- Conduct new hire orientations and exit interviews
Training & Development
- Research and implement employee training and self-development programs
- Improve and manage annual training initiatives
HR Administration & Compliance
- Administer employee benefits programs
- Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations
Special Projects
- Facilitate and support cross-functional HR and administrative projects
- Conduct research and create presentations as needed
Translation & Communication
- Provide English/Japanese translation and interpretation support for management
- Translate business documents and communications
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including macros and automation
- Advanced PowerPoint skills
- Bilingual in English and Japanese (both written and verbal)
- Experience with translation between English and Japanese
- Knowledge of ADP payroll system is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support cross-functional teams
