Position: Temp-to-Hire Tech Support Specialist

Pay: $45/HOUR

Hours: M- F 8:00am-5:00pm (CDT) & 7:00am – 4:00pm (CST) *May be a need for a working time extension of a maximum of 8:00pm (CDT) or 7:00pm (CST) up to 2 days per week.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Tech Support Specialist to support systems maintained in Japan by handling incident and release operations during U.S. daytime hours. This role focuses on improving operational efficiency, reducing nighttime workloads for Japan‑based teams, and developing automation for incident and release management.

The ideal candidate has hands‑on system engineering experience, strong problem‑solving skills, and native‑level Japanese proficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support incident response and release operations for Japan‑maintained systems
  • Coordinate closely with system maintenance teams in Japan
  • Participate in troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Develop and improve operational procedures
  • Explore and implement automation to enhance efficiency and quality

Qualifications

  • Strong Japanese proficiency
  • 3+ years of experience as a system engineer
  • Intermediate knowledge of system infrastructure, cloud platforms, and Linux/Unix environments

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with automation tools, scripting, or monitoring systems
  • Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI)
  • Relevant IT certifications are a plus
