Job Description

Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support a semiconductor construction project focused on Ultra Pure Water (UPW) systems. This role will work closely with construction leadership to oversee piping systems, equipment installation, and overall project execution from design through final turnover.

This position is ideal for an engineer with strong piping and industrial construction experience who can coordinate across multiple stakeholders while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial construction or semiconductor projects
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or coordination experience
  • Experience with industrial piping, UPW systems, or similar facility systems
  • Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, and specifications
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Physical ability to work on construction sites as needed
  • Ability to travel to project sites if required

Responsibilities

  • Support construction activities for UPW piping systems from design through commissioning and turnover
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors for piping and equipment installation
  • Review drawings, schematics, and technical documentation for accurate execution
  • Monitor construction progress and prepare progress reports for stakeholders
  • Perform constructability reviews and escalate issues proactively
  • Coordinate with multiple subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and scheduling alignment
  • Verify material deliveries, installation quality, and inspection/testing activities
  • Support pressure testing, flushing, and system inspections
  • Assist with cost tracking, forecasting, and schedule updates
  • Participate in meetings, RFIs, and change order reviews
  • Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Assist in developing construction procedures, method statements, and work instructions
  • Support subcontractor management including productivity tracking and reporting
  • Promote a collaborative, high-performance team environment
