International logistics and freight forwarding company providing air and ocean transportation, customs clearance, and supply chain coordination services across global markets.


Position Summary

Responsible for coordinating import shipments and ensuring timely customs clearance and delivery. Manages documentation, data entry, billing, and communication with customers, government agencies, and service providers to support efficient freight operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate import shipments with customers and vendors
  • Prepare and submit data to U.S. Customs and other government agencies (e.g., FDA)
  • Process and audit shipping documents for accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor shipment status and arrange trucking/drayage services
  • Coordinate warehouse receiving and delivery schedules
  • Approve vendor invoices and generate customer billing
  • Arrange terminal payments (e.g., Pier Pass, CargoSprint, PayCargo)
  • Maintain organized and compliant shipment files
  • Communicate with steamship lines, terminals, brokers, truckers, and internal teams
  • Resolve administrative-level issues to meet customer deadlines

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
  • Basic arithmetic and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Preferred:

  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, warehousing, or trucking
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs procedures
  • Experience with Tradepoint Alliance or similar systems
  • 2–4 years of related experience or college coursework

Other Details

  • Reports to Import Manager
  • Office-based role; occasional warehouse exposure (appropriate attire required)
  • No supervisory responsibilities
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.
