A global company specializing in Japanese retail and food & beverage operations is seeking a Business Strategy Manager to lead large-scale remodeling and development projects. The organization operates a combination of retail stores, full-service restaurants, and quick-service concepts, with a mission to promote Japanese culture and cuisine to a broad customer base.

This role will play a key part in upcoming renovation and expansion initiatives, including store remodels, restaurant upgrades, and new facility development. The position requires a proactive, hands-on project leader who can collaborate across internal teams and external partners while driving projects from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of retail and restaurant remodeling projects
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful completion
  • Develop project plans and blueprints, incorporating operational improvements and continuous improvement (Kaizen) principles
  • Conduct due diligence and propose strategic project directions to senior leadership
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Create and manage RFP processes and vendor selection
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify operational challenges and implement solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external partners and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and project requirements
  • Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Support new site identification and expansion initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Experience in restaurant or commercial facility construction, remodeling, or development
  • Hands-on knowledge of pre-construction processes, including site surveys, construction drawings, and MEP coordination
  • Experience managing contractors, vendors, and multiple stakeholders
  • Minimum 1+ year of project management experience in construction or related fields
  • Strong interest in or understanding of Japanese culture is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to prepare professional presentations
  • Japanese language skill is a big plus!
