Position: IT Support Specialist (Entry–Junior Level)

Location: Woodridge, IL

Work Style: 100% onsite

Work hours: 8:00~16:30

Industry: Manufacturing

This role will support end users and manage local IT hardware, systems, and networks while acting as a liaison between users and the IT team. The position is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to grow in an enterprise IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, operating systems, and business applications

• Troubleshoot and resolve common technical issues while ensuring high user satisfaction

• Log, track, and follow up on incidents and service requests using a ticketing system

• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs, applications, and IT equipment

• Support system implementations by documenting user requirements, testing new functions, and training users

• Maintain and manage local servers, networks, and IT equipment

• Perform master data maintenance, analysis, and audits

• Coordinate with IT leadership and external vendors for issue escalation and maintenance activities

• Support onboarding/offboarding processes including account setup and equipment preparation

• Assist with automation initiatives using Power Automate and Power Apps

May be assigned other duties by managers

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent education)

• 0–3 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support (internships acceptable)

• Basic knowledge of Windows OS, PC hardware, and Microsoft 365

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical users

• Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative IT environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience or exposure to Power Automate or Power Apps

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)

• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and incident management processes

• Experience working with IT vendors or service providers
