Salary: $60,000–$65,000 (DOE)

Workstyle: On-site with ~45% travel (domestic & international)

Field / Machine Technician

About the Role

An industrial manufacturing support company is seeking a Field / Machine Technician to support paint system applications, equipment installation, maintenance, and modification projects for automotive and industrial facilities.

This role includes domestic and international travel and requires strong technical coordination and project support skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate customer meetings and on-site inspections
• Support installation and modification of:
  • Painting booths
  • Ovens
  • Conveyor systems
  • Pre-treatment and E-Coat systems
• Prepare proposals, specifications, and quotations
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and installation schedules
• Support equipment shipping, installation, and project management
• Monitor project progress and prepare completion reports

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and/or industrial engineering.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Willingness to travel approximately 45%
• Flexible schedule including nights/weekends as needed
• Japanese language skills are a plus

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of industrial equipment and mechanical systems
• Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and welding processes
• Experience with pumps, fans, valves, and filters
