Position: Amusement Planning Director

This position is with a growing entertainment company undergoing business expansion. The Amusement Planning Director will oversee multiple operational teams including Crane, Redemption, Game Supply, and Payment, with a strong focus on procurement, operations management, and strategic execution. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage data, people, and processes while working closely with executive leadership to drive business initiatives and ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operations
- Lead Crane, Redemption, Game Supply, and Payment teams to align with financial and operational goals
- Manage team performance including goal setting, evaluations, and development
- Oversee staffing, workload planning, and resource allocation
Strategy & Execution
- Translate executive strategy into annual plans and quarterly initiatives
- Drive execution of key projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met
- Collaborate with VP of Amusement Planning on strategic initiatives
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Oversee procurement of prizes for crane machines and redemption areas
- Manage game supply consumables
- Maintain and develop vendor relationships
Finance & Data Analysis
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and COGS analysis
- Utilize data for operational decision-making and reporting
- Prepare executive-level reports
Compliance & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, internal controls, and audit processes
- Partner closely with Finance and senior leadership
Qualifications
- Senior-level management experience in procurement, operations, or merchandising
- Strong financial knowledge (budgeting, forecasting, COGS, reporting)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling, large data analysis)
- Experience managing managers and leading teams
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Bilingual in Japanese and English (required)
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with executive stakeholders
- Knowledge of compliance, internal controls, and audit processes
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
