This position reports to the Sales Manager and is based in either the Chicago or Troy office with a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote when not traveling).
The primary responsibility (90–95%) is managing and strengthening existing automotive customer accounts. This role requires strong account management skills, proactive communication, and the ability to build long-term partnerships while supporting automotive chemical products.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow existing customer accounts
Identify new opportunities within assigned accounts
Build strong client relationships and provide ongoing support
Negotiate contracts and prepare proposals
Support pricing, collections, customer portals, and APQP documentation
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely customer support
Stay informed on industry and product developments
Travel
25–50% travel (primarily U.S., limited Canada)
Mainly Midwest and Southern U.S., Greater Toronto area, occasional West Coast
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Engineering, or related field
3–5 years of B2B sales or account management experience
Automotive industry experience preferred, not required
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated with growth mindset
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Valid driver’s license and passport
