Sales Assistant – Japanese or Chinese Bilingual Preferred

Job Summary:

A growing Japanese food manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Assistant to support its expanding sales team. This position has been created due to business growth and will provide additional support similar to an existing sales team member.

This role supports account management activities that do not require travel and plays an important part in daily sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confirm and verify customer invoices and purchase orders
• Support account management activities (no travel required)
• Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding order issues and progress updates
• Coordinate FedEx shipments and logistics
• Assist with sample preparation
• Support trade show and exhibition preparation
• Prepare quotations, sales documents, proposals, and contracts
• Track sales metrics and customer feedback
• Prepare cost comparison reports for internal review

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales support or administrative role
• Experience in food manufacturing, OEM, private label, or co-packing preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
• Japanese and Chinese language skills are a plus
