Project Manager – Industrial Construction

Travel: Project-based role requiring full-time onsite presence. Company-paid travel home approximately every 3 weeks.


Position Overview

A Japanese company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead industrial Design-Build and Process EPC projects from pre-construction through project completion. This role is responsible for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, financial performance, and overall project delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Design-Build and Process EPC projects from planning through close-out
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and forecasting
  • Oversee project profitability (P&L) and financial reporting
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Lead and mentor Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams
  • Manage project documentation, contracts, change orders, and reporting
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Coordinate inspections, commissioning, and final project turnover

Qualifications

Required

  • Business-level or higher Japanese language proficiency
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience in the construction industry
  • Experience managing industrial construction, Design-Build, or EPC projects
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contract administration, and project financial management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Procore

Preferred

  • Manufacturing or industrial facility construction experience
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
