Superintendent – Industrial Construction

Position Overview

Join a leading industrial construction team as a Superintendent, overseeing day-to-day field operations on manufacturing and industrial projects. You will be responsible for site safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction site operations and subcontractors
  • Monitor project schedules, productivity, quality, and safety
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams
  • Review construction and shop drawings
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports and maintain project documentation
  • Coordinate material deliveries and support change orders
  • Manage QA/QC activities and punch lists
  • Identify scheduling risks and recommend solutions
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and regulations

Qualifications

Required

  • Business-level or higher Japanese language skills
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Superintendent, Field Engineer, or similar role
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Knowledge of construction methods, permitting, inspections, and safety regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, SharePoint, and construction management software
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred

  • Experience with industrial or manufacturing facility construction
  • Concrete work experience (foundations, slabs, pits, trenches)
  • Renovation work within operating manufacturing facilities
  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience)
