Business Development Director (U.S. Expatriate Assignment)　

Lead the expansion of a Japanese confectionery brand in the U.S. market

Position Summary

• Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Location: Washington DC (Expatriate assignment from Japan)
• Base Salary: $50-75K (DOE)
• Benefits: Visa sponsorship, Comprehensive expatriate package in addition to base salary (relocation support, housing assistance, healthcare, and other expatriate benefits)
• Other: Training in Japan for 1 year before expat assignment

Summary

This position will lead the growth of the company's U.S. business by expanding sales channels and developing new customer relationships. You will serve as a hands-on leader, driving business development while managing the local operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new customers and sales channels
• Build and execute U.S. sales strategies
• Lead customer negotiations and product launches
• Conduct market and competitor research
• Manage sales performance and the U.S. business
• Lead and develop the local team

Qualifications

Required

• Proven experience in new business development (hunter sales)
• Business-level Japanese and English

Preferred

• Food, beverage, consumer goods industry experience
• Overseas business or team management experience
