Summary of the Position

Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.

In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment optimization to ensure maximum system uptime. You'll work alongside experienced engineers while developing specialized technical expertise on some of the industry's most advanced semiconductor equipment.

  • 50% Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting
  • 20% Preventive Maintenance & System Optimization
  • 15% Customer Support & Technical Communication
  • 15% Training, Logistics & Site Support

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on advanced semiconductor equipment installed at customer sites.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system issues to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Work closely with senior engineers while developing technical expertise through hands-on training.
  • Respond to equipment issues and participate in an on-call rotation to support customers when needed.
  • Communicate technical findings and service updates to customers and internal teams.
  • Support spare parts inventory, logistics, and equipment documentation.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for training and temporary site support assignments.
  • Follow all customer safety, security, and cleanroom procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field; Associate's degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or in the semiconductor industry.
  • Experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in cleanroom environments.
  • Ability to travel for training and customer site support.
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
