Salary: $65,000–$90,000 per year

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant to manage the company’s daily accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.
This position will be responsible for general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, journal entries, and financial reporting. The role will also support budgeting, cash flow management, audit preparation, tax filings, and year-end closing activities.
The ideal candidate has at least three years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, and hands-on experience using accounting or ERP software. Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to handle confidential financial information are essential.
【Key Responsibilities】
・Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial records
・Record daily financial transactions and reconcile accounts
・Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries
・Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
・Reconcile bank and credit card statements
・Track company expenses and maintain supporting documentation
・Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
・Assist with budgeting and cash flow management
・Prepare financial documents and supporting schedules for audits
・Assist with tax filings, tax payments, and regulatory compliance
・Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
・Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
・Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
・Support month-end and year-end closing activities
・Coordinate with external accountants and other professional service providers as needed
・Identify accounting errors and recommend process improvements
・Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
【Qualifications】
・Minimum of three years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
・Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and U.S. GAAP
・Experience with general ledger accounting and journal entries
・Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations
・Hands-on experience using accounting or ERP software, such as Sage or a similar system
・Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
・Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
・Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
・Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
・Strong communication and organizational skills
・Ability to appropriately handle confidential financial information
・Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
・Accounting or bookkeeping certifications and continuing professional education courses are a plus
【Preferred Qualifications】
・Knowledge of sales and use tax regulations
・Experience preparing financial statements
・Experience supporting audits and tax filings
・Ability to identify errors and recommend improvements to accounting processes
