Administrative Assistant (Agricultural & Livestock Department)

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)

Pay: $24.50/hour

Duration: Mid-July 2026 – March 31, 2027 (possible extension)


Position Summary

We are seeking a bilingual (Japanese/English) Administrative Assistant to support the Agricultural & Livestock Department in promoting Japanese agricultural and livestock products in North America. This role combines administrative support, accounting assistance, research, and coordination with both Japanese and U.S. organizations.


Responsibilities

  • Budget management, expense processing, and administrative support
  • Coordinate business travel, meetings, and communications
  • Assist with market research and presentation materials
  • Prepare meeting minutes and support export promotion projects
  • Support trade shows and industry events as needed

Qualifications

  • Administrative or office support experience
  • Business-level Japanese and English (required) for translation, email, phone, and document preparation
  • Strong Microsoft 365 skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot, OneNote, Planner, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Interest in agriculture or the food industry is a plus (experience not required)

Schedule & Work Style

  • Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Hybrid: Minimum 3 days onsite, up to 2 remote days per week
  • Occasional domestic travel and weekend work for trade shows or industry events (scheduled flexibly based on employee availability)
