Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee payroll, benefits administration, HR compliance, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations.
Hands-on experience with HR Compliance and Payroll Tax Administration is required.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll & Benefits
- Manage payroll processing and payroll tax administration
- Oversee employee benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)
- Coordinate annual Open Enrollment
- Process employee status changes and maintain HR records
HR Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Prepare compliance reports (EEO-1, CA Pay Data Reporting, etc.)
- Manage workers' compensation and unemployment claims
- Maintain accurate employee personnel files
HR Operations
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees and managers
- Support employee relations and HR policy administration
- Prepare HR reports and recommend process improvements
- Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training programs
Qualifications
Required
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience
- Hands-on experience with HR Compliance and Payroll Tax Administration
- Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- Multi-state HR experience
- Japanese or Spanish language skills are a plus
