Compensation: $80,000–$84,000/year

Company Overview

A manufacturing company specializing in glass assembly and mirror repacking operations is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to oversee daily production activities, quality, process control, and team performance.


Position Summary

The Manufacturing Manager will lead the manufacturing department and ensure production operations meet customer requirements, internal quality standards, safety expectations, and business objectives. This role is responsible for managing production processes, staffing, scheduling, inspections, inventory, cost control, maintenance coordination, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and employee development.


Key Responsibilities

・Manage daily manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, staffing, process monitoring, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and production reporting

・Oversee in-process and final inspection activities to ensure customer and quality requirements are met

・Maintain and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, process standards, 5S, and housekeeping practices

・Support cost control, waste reduction, productivity improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives

・Coordinate preventative maintenance checks, building maintenance needs, and process changes

・Develop and implement departmental action plans aligned with business and continuous improvement goals

・Deploy established policies, objectives, and procedures through supervisors and team members

・Ensure corrective and preventive actions are completed in a timely manner to address nonconformance and prevent recurrence

・Assign qualified associates to appropriate roles through training, evaluation, and workforce planning

・Train, evaluate, and develop subordinates while promoting positive employee relations

・Stop production when necessary to address quality issues and direct the disposition of nonconforming products

・Report production status and departmental updates to senior leadership


Qualifications

Required:

・Manufacturing management or production leadership experience

・Ability to manage production operations, staffing, scheduling, inspection, and process control

・Strong understanding of quality standards, corrective/preventive actions, and continuous improvement

・Ability to ensure employees follow established rules, procedures, safety expectations, and 5S standards

・Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and employee development skills

・Ability to work onsite in Madison, AL


Preferred:

・Experience in glass assembly, mirror repacking, automotive-related manufacturing, or similar production environments

・Experience developing work instructions, production reports, and process standardization

・Experience with inventory control, cost control, preventative maintenance coordination, and 5S implementation
