Sales Representative – Japanese Bilingual
Position: Sales Representative (English & Japanese)
Territory: Northeast United States (Primary focus on New York & New Jersey)
Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000 base salary (flexible depending on experience) plus commission
Location: Home office in NY or NJ (Frequent business trip, Driver's license required.)

A premium Japanese food company specializing in Japanese Wagyu, American Wagyu, Australian Wagyu, Dutch Veal, Iberico Pork, Angus Beef, dry-aged beef, and other high-end proteins. The company works with restaurants, butcher shops, hospitality groups, and other foodservice businesses throughout the United States.
Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and professional bilingual (English & Japanese speaking) sales representative to help expand the company’s presence throughout the Northeast United States. This role will focus heavily on the New York and New Jersey markets while also supporting growth in Boston, Massachusetts and other tri-state surrounding areas.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for prospecting, visiting customers, attending meetings, building relationships, and acquiring new business accounts within the foodservice, restaurant, and specialty meat industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and acquire new restaurant, butcher shop, hospitality, and foodservice accounts
- Conduct cold call, email, and in-person visits, sales meetings, and tastings throughout assigned territories
- Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Present and sell premium protein programs including Wagyu, Dutch Veal, Iberico Pork, Angus beef, and dry-aged beef
- Work closely with management on sales growth strategies and customer development
- Provide excellent customer service and account follow-up
- Attend industry events and networking opportunities, as needed
- Achieve key performance metrics designated by management
Qualifications
- Fluent in both English and Japanese
- Previous B2B sales experience preferred
- Foodservice or protein/meat industry knowledge preferred but not required
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle for travel throughout the territory
Commission Structure
Commission will be paid on gross sales generated by the representative as follows:
- 1% commission on Wagyu gross sales
- 2% commission on Angus, Dutch Veal, Iberico Pork, dry-aged beef, and other non-Wagyu protein gross sales
